Salesforce Administrator

Aeon’s Salesforce Administrator will provide customer service to the Advancement team in its fundraising goals through management of its stakeholder database, Salesforce. This position reports to the Senior Resource Development Manager.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Database Administration: Serve as the primary organizational admin for the Salesforce system. Responsible for ensuring cleanliness of data, implementing upgrades, responding to user requests for functionality changes, documenting processes and proactively working to streamline the system’s performance.
• Reporting: As the most advanced user of the system, create dashboards and reports to support the fundraising and relationship building activities of the Advancement team. As requested, pull mailing lists, invitation lists, revenue reports, and etc.
• Vendor Management: Oversee the use of apps and external tools that interact with the system, such as MailChimp and Classy. Work with the IT department to troubleshoot challenges that arise with enterprise systems like Office 365 or Yardi. Own the relationship with any external vendors needed for the Salesforce system.
• General: Proactively keep up with industry good practices and Salesforce user news in order to anticipate and prepare for future state changes and improvements to system use. Provide client support to other Salesforce users in the organization, particularly the Advancement Assistant and that person’s work in gift and data entry.
• Support of Advancement Activities: Play an active role within the Advancement team and its overall efforts to drive revenue for the organization. Actively embrace a philosophy of donor-centricity, always considering a donor’s perspective in your work. Participate in team meetings, activities and events, like the annual Beyond Bricks & Mortar breakfast. During very busy times, typically around the Beyond Bricks & Mortar breakfast and year-end fundraising efforts, assist the Advancement Assistant with gift and data entry. Champion a culture of philanthropy that celebrates donors and engages employees as ambassadors for Aeon. Be an enthusiastic and collaborative member of the overall Advancement team.

Skills & Qualifications:
• 1-4 years of strong involvement in and proven success with database management activities. 1-2 years of Salesforce experience preferred.
• Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and capacity to appropriately prioritize work
• Keen attention to detail and affinity for data systems
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating sensitivity to the needs and experiences of a diverse staff and constituent base
• Interest in working for an organization with service in its mission that is dedicated to providing homes for low-income people in our community
• Experience in a nonprofit setting preferred
