Regional Development Coordinator

The Regional Development Coordinator will build connections and secure philanthropic gifts to support the national and local impact of Nexus and its affiliates.  This role will work under direction of Nexus corporate leadership to create and execute a regional development plan based on the national strategic development plan for Nexus. This position will work 30 hours/week, which is a full-time benefit-eligible status.

•Fund Development
– With direction from leadership, create and execute a regional development plan aligned with the Nexus national strategic development plan and supporting the needs of Nexus and the assigned programs.
•Strategy, Information & Metrics Management
– Document donor interactions and strategies for donor relationship management as well as grant proposals and results.
– Reviews donor data and reports to inform development strategies.
•Relationship Building
– Under direction of leadership develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with donors, volunteers,  community leaders and stakeholders.
– Collaborate and work cross-functionally with colleagues throughout Nexus, particularly those at assigned sites
•Event Planning & Management
– Engage site leadership, employees and community members in the planning and execution of events to increase donor engagement and build philanthropic support for Nexus/assigned programs.
•Culture of Philanthropy
– With direction from leadership, create and execute plans to promote a culture of philanthropy throughout Nexus and in assigned sites including communications, activities and internal relationship building.
•External communications & Outreach
– With direction and guidance from leadership, create and implement an annual communications plan for the designated region in conjunction with the Development and Communications Teams.
•Fiscal Responsibility
– Monitor expenses, ensure good stewardship of resources and appropriate tracking of donations.

•Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in fund development in the nonprofits sector. In lieu of degree,
may accept a combination of education (minimum of a high school diploma or GED) and 5 years of
experience in fund development.
•Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
•Preferred experience with donor management software Raiser’s Edge

•Must be able to sit for long periods of time and utilize general office equipment including the visual acuity to spend lengthy amounts of time utilizing computer equipment
•Infrequent lifting of up to 20 pounds
•Reaching, bending, and twisting activities conducive to an office environment
•Travel up to 25% of time
