Mary Delorie

Director of Development
The Cedar Cultural Center

Mary Delorie brings extensive nonprofit management and international education experience to her work. She began her professional career in nonprofits whose missions were grounded abroad. Her first gig in fundraising was with AchieveMpls, where she worked on a wide variety of things: annual fund, major donors, foundation relations, legacy giving, and events. Since 2018, she has been working as the Director of Development for The Cedar Cultural Center and is thrilled to be supporting a mission that combines her love of the arts with intercultural appreciation and understanding. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Sarah Lawrence College and has completed writing, management, and fundraising certification courses at the University of St. Thomas’ Opus College of Business.

Adrienne Doyle

Development Associate & Teaching Artist
Juxtaposition Arts

Adrienne Doyle is a Development Associate and Teaching Artist at Juxtaposition Arts in North Minneapolis. She supports the vision of this organization by building institutional support for its annual fund and facilitating youth-directed research projects. Previously, she worked as the Program Coordinator at Kulture Klub Collaborative in Downtown Minneapolis and participated in the ninth cohort of Hope Community’s SPEAC community organizing training. Adrienne is a current fellow with the Emerging Curators Institute.

Jonathan C.W. Jones

Founder/CEO
Ideation4

Jonathan C.W. Jones is a seasoned, award-winning educator. He is also the founder and CEO of Ideation4, which works with educators, schools, districts, nonprofit professionals, and under-resourced communities through proposal workshops, coaching, consulting, and innovation. His passion lies across the intersections of education, business, and philanthropy. He recently participated in Headwaters Foundation for Justice’s Giving Project, raising over $250,000 for 12 organizations for and by people of color. Currently, he is a program officer for the Raymond W. Cannon Education Foundation, which is the nonprofit charitable arm of the Gamma Xi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and he also serves on the Development Committee for Headwaters Foundation for Justice.

Anisha Murphy

Director of Community Engagement
Northside Economic Opportunity Network

Anisha Murphy is the Director of Community Engagement at the Northside Economic Opportunity Network (NEON). Additionally, Anisha is the owner of Just Law LLC, a legal/business consulting firm. Anisha is a passionate builder committed to public service.  Currently, she is a part of the Minneapolis Global Shapers Hub; she serves on the Boards of Directors for the Minnesota Black Chamber of Commerce and the African American Leadership Forum; and she was recently appointed to the Metropolitan Council’s Livable Communities Advisory Committee. She holds a law degree and a Master’s in Public Administration from Hamline University.

Dee Pha

Fundraiser
Democracy for America

Dee Pha is a daughter of refugees, which has informed her interest in understanding and improving the relationship between power, place, and politics. She is currently a fundraiser for Democracy For America, a progressive political action committee working to build and empower a broad coalition of grassroots organizers, to elect progressives at all levels of office in all 50 states. She is also an aspiring noodle soup connoisseur, always looking for the best noodle shops in town.

Veronica Rucker

Events and Engagement Manager
DeLaSalle High School

Veronica Rucker is the Events and Engagement Manager at DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis. After spending nearly a decade in the beauty industry, in 2018, she took a leap to follow one of her passions: event planning. As a lifelong learner, she is committed to always improving herself and taking guidance and knowledge from those around her. With almost a year in her current role, she has already brought positive changes and updates to current event schedules and has built many new relationships that will have a lasting impact on DeLaSalle. Veronica has an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and is currently working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Communication.

Ken Story

Development Associate
HIRED

Ken Story is the Development Associate at HIRED, a nonprofit celebrating 50 years of advancing economic opportunity for all in the Twin Cities metro. Before HIRED, Ken worked at Way to Grow and Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota. Ken credits LSS and the fundraising community in North Dakota for embracing him and empowering him to be the development professional he is today. He has been board president of the Pride Collective and Community Center, a co-founding board member of YNPN-Fargo, and a LGBT Representative of the North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party Executive Committee. Ken currently serves on the Mill City Farmer’s Market Charitable Fund Board of Directors.

Larry Traversie

Leadership Annual Giving Officer
University of Minnesota Foundation

Larry Traversie is originally from Aberdeen, South Dakota, and is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Morris, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Speech Communications. Larry has served on the University of Minnesota-Morris Alumni Association Board the past seven years. He is also currently pursuing his Master’s in Sports Management from Concordia University-St. Paul. He currently works at the University of Minnesota Foundation, as a Leadership Annual Giving Officer. Prior to this, he spent 13 years working for the Minnesota Timberwolves/Lynx, in their Membership Service department, where he managed many of their premium seating accounts.

Veronica Williams

Annual Giving Manager
CaringBridge

Veronica Williams is the Annual Giving Manager at CaringBridge, a nonprofit social network that helps people connect with friends and family during a health journey. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and her Master of Nonprofit Management from Hamline University. She also holds the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification. She serves as a Partner, Equity Team member, and Consulting Team member with Social Venture Partners (SVP) Minnesota. Veronica is passionate about making her community a safe place, with a path to healing and hope for everyone.

AsaleSol Young

Marketing and Development Director
Urban Homeworks, Inc.

AsaleSol Young comes to the AFP-MN IDEA Fellowship with a desire to understand how to better fund community-led initiatives, as well to understand her power as a Black fundraiser. With ten years of experience as an educator, AsaleSol founded a small charter school and learned intimately the challenges of funding Black-led, systems-change movements. Currently, as the Marketing and Development Director for a small affordable housing nonprofit in North Minneapolis, AsaleSol continues to seek ways to make fundraising more BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color)-centric.
