Foundation and Corporate Development Coordinator

This position will seek grants and donations for our Education and Research Foundation as well as secure sponsorships for the wide variety of educational events and publications we produce. The individual will work closely with the CSO/COO and the Foundation board to develop, coordinate, and manage funding programs using a variety of techniques. Responsible for initiating research, evaluating giving potential, and cultivating relationships with viable corporate sponsors and Foundation contributors by various means for the purpose of strengthening the donor base and providing IJCAHPO leadership with status and effectiveness of fund raising projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate key fundraising aspects of the JCAHPO Education and Research Foundation to include but not limited to:

• Manage grant writing activities. Identify grant
opportunities, develop and submit grant proposals, and
track and report on grant activity. Develop multi-year
grant development plan.

• Ensure that assigned functions/activities in support of
the Foundation’s scholarship program are completed in
a timely and accurate manner.

• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with
donors, volunteers, committees and staff.

• Initiate and maintain cordial and productive working
relationships with Foundation Board and staff to plan,
organize and inform them of progress.

• Manage and coordinate key sponsorship activity: identify potential corporate sponsors and contributors, conduct sales calls and mail campaigns, secure sponsorships for events, publications, and other activities.

• Keep current in the development profession and maintain professional growth to employ latest strategies for successful fundraising events and campaigns.

Position Requirements

Education: Two to four years of college required or equivalent work experience.

Qualifications: The following experience, skills and abilities are required:
• 2+ years working in a development or sales-related position.
• Personable, comfortable connecting with a wide variety of constituents.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent tact, diplomacy, confidentiality, and judgement within policy and guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Well organized and the ability to prioritize projects.
• Self-starter with ability to maintain accountability and to work independently and creatively while functioning as part of a cooperative and coordinated management team.
