Development and Campaign Manager

The Campaign Manager is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of the successful execution of the capital campaign to expand Siembra Montessori, our dual-language (Spanish/English) early learning program.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with Executive Director and Siembra Expansion Campaign Chair to plan and prepare for the campaign
• Meets frequently with family and corporate foundations as well as individual donors to cultivate and solicit gifts for the campaign
• Contributes to the development and implementation of cultivation strategies, donor events and stewardship plans
• Collaborates with Executive Director and Siembra Expansion Campaign Chair to execute campaign activities (e.g. meetings with potential foundation/corporate funders, phone calls and meetings with potential individual donors, coordination of special events to raise awareness of the campaign, etc.)
• Monitors timeline for the campaign and coordinates with leaders to meet deliverables
• Actively tracks development activities in database
• Grow individual donor program in number of donors and in donations
• Prepares agendas, communications and meeting materials for internal committees
• Prepares monthly solicitation reports for Executive Director and Siembra Expansion Committee Chair
• Works in tandem with Centro’s fundraising staff – including grant writer, external consultants and Executive Director
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have previous capital campaign experience
• Familiarity of Minnesota philanthropic community
• Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, marketing, non-profit/ public administration or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in some phase of non-profit fundraising program management
• Proven ability to work well with volunteers, donors, staff and board members
• Proven ability to write and prepare fundraising materials and packages
• Proven ability to write and prepare fundraising materials (including marketing materials, proposals, etc)
• Familiarity with budget preparation and monitoring
• Excellent verbal presentation and writing skills
• Commitment to working with the Latino community in a culturally supportive environment and a sincere desire to have a meaningful effect on their lives
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Must pass a background check.

Location: Minneapolis, MN
Classification: Hourly
Hours / Week: 30 hours per week
Benefits include: Health insurance, dental, life insurance, paid sick days/vacation time and holidays.
Salary: $25 – 26 /hour depending on qualifications.
