National Philanthropy Day

National Philanthropy Day (NPD) is a special day set aside to promote philanthropy and recognize individuals, organizations and businesses that are inspiring change through their significant impact on nonprofit organizations. The NPD Program is our annual, signature event at which people representing businesses, nonprofits, philanthropists, and volunteers come together to celebrate our vibrant philanthropic community.

Each year, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Minnesota Chapter shines a light on people of diverse ages and backgrounds across our state who exemplify Minnesota's generous spirit and who have gone above and beyond in service to their community.

This year, we are asking members of our community to nominate extraordinary philanthropists (individuals or organizations), fundraisers (professionals or volunteers), and/or philanthropic efforts (campaigns or special events), whose efforts deserve to be celebrated at the 2022 National Philanthropy Day and who should serve as a model for our work.

The nomination process is quick and easy!

We want to hear the story of your nominee and the impact they have had in Minnesota – from Minneapolis to Grand Marais and Rochester to Roseau. We want to celebrate stories of remarkable generosity and service across our state that represent the full diversity of Minnesota’s philanthropic spirit.
