“Last year I volunteered to support AFP Minnesota’s National Philanthropy Day (NPD). A variety of shifts and options were offered. I picked an option that fit best into my personal schedule for the day – the after- event Clean Up shift. As a relatively new chapter member, volunteering at the NPD event gave me a wonderful insight into the scope of the event and all the hard work needed to produce a signature community event that truly honors and celebrates the accomplishments of our extraordinary philanthropic community. NPD is the work of many hands joined together to Connect and Inspire our philanthropic community to reach new heights!

Producing an event of this magnitude just isn’t possible without volunteer support. As an AFP Minnesota member, I am always trying to think about ways I can leverage my membership. Volunteering to support the 2013 NPD event afforded a great opportunity to learn even more about the core work and strength of our local AFP Minnesota Chapter.

I had a great experience and I strongly encourage members to get involved. Volunteering for a shift to support National Philanthropy Day is a fun and meaningful way to show your support and activate your membership. Please consider signing up to volunteer today!”
