Have you ever wanted to attend the AFP International Conference on Fundraising, but couldn’t due to the cost?
If so, the Chamberlain Scholarship is for you.
To help individuals serving nonprofit organizations develop their knowledge and skill in fundraising, the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy sponsors the Chamberlain Scholarship Program. In 2017, AFP Minnesota will select one individual to receive a Chamberlain Scholarship.
This scholarship covers the full registration fee for the AFP International Conference, (minus a $10 processing fee) to defray expenses associated with attendance at AFP’s International Conference. The 2017 conference will be held in San Francisco, CA, April 30 – May 2, 2017.
- Candidate is employed as a fundraising professional or, if candidate is an executive director, a substantial amount of time must be devoted to fundraising.
- Candidate has never attended an AFP International Conference on Fundraising as a registered participant (unless as a member of the Conference Host Committee).
- Candidate must agree to complete an online evaluation form about his or her experience at International Conference.
- Candidate agrees to attend the conference if selected and to cover expenses above the costs covered by the scholarship.
Please note: the scholarship covers all but $10 of the basic conference registration fee; recipients are responsible for all travel and lodging. Please review expenses on the conference website before applying.
Preference will be given to candidates with less than five years of fundraising experience, whose organizations could not otherwise support attendance, and candidates who are members of AFP Minnesota.
