Minnesota Public Radio is one of the nation’s premier public radio stations producing programming for radio, online and live audiences. With its three services MPR News, Classical MPR and 89.3 The Current, it operates a 49-station regional radio network and serves one million listeners each week.

Your Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for providing coordination, management, and implementation of events, email communications, and CRM management for the entire Philanthropic Development Division. You will support Campaign-specific projects as well as the everyday operations of the Philanthropic Development team. As the Project Coordinator, you will also provide occasional administrative support for the Manager, Donor Engagement and the Director of Major & Planned Giving. You will interact internally across the organization and externally with donors and partners.

Position Responsibility:
Coordinate and manage Salesforce use by the Philanthropic Development department, including managing data, coordinating and implementing process improvements, and providing input for organization-wide Salesforce improvements.
Train new staff in use of Salesforce and train existing staff in new Salesforce processes.
Coordinate email communications calendar between Membership and Philanthropic Development teams.
Collaborate with our Creative Service team to produce donor and funder emails related events and other special opportunities.
Collaborate with Creative Services and Membership team to produce regular Leadership Circle and Legacy Society email newsletters, including generating ideas, writing content, segmentation, and construction in Marketing Cloud.
Provide project management for on-site and off-site donor events and meetings, including guest lists, invitations, RSVPs, event content, catering arrangements, and hospitality. This includes both small and large events, for the Campaign as well as in support of giving societies and general donor events.
Attend and assist with donor events, as needed.
Manage event calendar for donor-specific events and organization-wide events with donor opportunities.
Manage ticketing relationship with the Fitzgerald Theater.
Provide superior customer service to donors by fielding questions and providing any needed assistance by phone, email, letter, or in person.
Conduct donor tours of MPR Studios and the Fitzgerald Theater.
Support Major and Planned Giving staff in troubleshooting donor issues and resolving data discrepancies in multiple systems.
Maintain a focus on constant process-improvement in support of strengthening donor relationship-building and enhancing ongoing operations.
Provide occasional administrative support to the Director of Major & Planned Giving, Manager, Donor Engagement, and Campaign Manager, including technical support for Major and Planned Giving meetings.
Provide backup support for Development Assistant in generating pledge forms and donor acknowledgments during busy times of the year.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
Five or more years of project management, administrative support, or other relevant work experience.
Experience using customer or constituent databases.

Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication and accountability.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Education or experience directly related to non-profit fundraising, special events organization and related skills serving charitable donors
Familiarity with Salesforce, including report development and process improvements.
Experience with email marketing systems such as Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, or Marketing Cloud.
Experience using website content management systems, knowledge of HTML is a plus.
Knowledge of and interest in public media.
