Job overview and requirements

Are you ready to apply your talent in fundraising and marketing to the creation and growth of an innovative nonprofit that is expanding an exciting journalism project across the United States? Do you want to be challenged at work, learn a lot about our evolving energy system, be on the cutting edge of digital energy news, have a lot of fun, be inspired frequently, and make a significant impact? Fresh Energy is looking for a Partnership Coordinator to play a key supporting role in building out a network of funders for our journalism project, while increasing readership and demonstrating impact of our news network.

Our story

Fresh Energy publishes an editorially independent network of news sites covering the transition to a clean energy economy. Staffed by a multistate team of freelance journalists, the Energy News Network (ENN) provides daily aggregated reports and in-depth original journalism that increases public understanding of energy issues. Launched in 2010 as Midwest Energy News, we are now on the precipice of expanding our coverage to include news aggregation and original journalism in all 50 states.

As Fresh Energy grows, we need an experienced Partnership Coordinator who can work with the rest of the team to shape and implement the expansion of the ENN. The Partnership Coordinator is a development and marketing position that plays a supporting role in strengthening the ENN’s network of organizational partners and funders, building readership among priority audiences and demonstrating the value and impact of the ENN. This position actively collaborates with and supports the Director of Program Advancement, Executive Editor, and ENN team in execution of fundraising and marketing goals.

While Fresh Energy has already put frameworks for these fund development and marketing arenas in place, our hope is to add an amazing coordinator to our team who will partner with us to bring this work to the next level.
