Join our Mission Advancement team as a Membership Manager and help us lead and be responsible for managing the membership program within the Mission Advancement division and museum. Primary responsibilities include: setting strategic direction for growth, acquisition, retention and increased engagement of the membership program resulting in fulfilling department and museum goals.

Work Environment & Schedule: Must work be able to successfully work both independently and collaboratively. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday but does require occasional work on evenings and weekends based on department needs and event schedule.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Creates, leads and implements growth, acquisition, renewal and engagement plans for membership program focusing on a multichannel written & digital communications approach.
• Applies strategies and fundraising best practices along with membership program expertise to ensure a grounded approach to decision making, ensuring the execution of membership programs to reach fundraising goals.
• Leads, organizes and manages workflows of the Membership program in order to meet program outcomes efficiently and effectively.
• Manages, maintains and prioritizes communications/engagement calendar, ensuring successful implementation of membership strategies
• Proactively collaborates with internal departments so that strategies are aligned for the benefit of overall museum goals while creating loyalty and engagement.
• Recommends and implements changes in strategies to meet program goals and objectives.
• Monitors, tracks, and reports on progress to goal for programs.
• Stay current with and maintain data integrity within CRM system (Tessitura) for reporting, solicitations and relationship management.
• Serves as primary contact with external vendors for membership programs (telemarketing, direct mail, printers, etc.).
• Serves as a public representative of the museum and presents the museum in a positive and favorable way.
• Promote the culture of philanthropy internally and externally.
• Presents a calming and positive leadership style and leads through example and experience to ensure a positive work culture.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of non-profit, fundraising experience required with a demonstrated working knowledge of membership programs.
• Proven experience with membership/loyalty programs.
• Experience with digital, direct mail and proven success with donor/membership engagement strategies and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working experience in membership organization preferred.
• Cultural competency and experience working with diverse communities.
• Willingness to be open and respectful of all backgrounds.
• Fluency in language(s) other than English valued (Hmong, Somali, Spanish).

Travel Required-Limited local travel and on rare occasions out of state travel required.
