Funders and nonprofit organizations look to the annual Giving USA report for insights. Be among the first to hear expert analysis and local perspectives on the 2014 findings when Campbell & Company, in conjunction with the Association of Fundraising Professionals Minnesota (AFPMN), present “First Look: Giving USA 2014”, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. June 19. A presentation of report findings will be followed by a moderated panel of local experts. Registration is $20 for AFPMN members and $40 for non-members and breakfast is included; Learn more details here.
The annual Giving USA report is often used by funders and nonprofit organizations to:
• Benchmark fundraising performance against national data;
• Plan for the future, based on long-term trends in giving;
• Educate new staff members and board members in the broad context of philanthropic giving, so that they have a better understanding of their organization’s funding patterns; and
• Strengthen grantmaking or other philanthropic activities.
St. Paul is one of only seven cities across the nation hosting a “first look” event. Report findings will be presented by Adam Wilhelm, Senior Consultant, Campbell & Company. Wilhelm helps organizational leaders and volunteers develop strategies and translate their vision into implementable activities for development staff.
AFPMN President Jeremy Wells will moderate a panel of local experts including Tim Benz, CFRE, Associate President of the Minnesota Independent School Forum; Kim Motz, Vice President of Institutional Advancement at the College of St. Benedict; and Randi Yoder, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Minnesota Public Radio.
