Educational Seminar and Annual Meeting
Speaker: Audrey Kintzi, ACFRE
There are hundreds of books on leadership – hundreds of ways of thinking about being a leader. In their book The Leadership Machine, Michael Lombardo and Robert Eichinger offer a list of 67 leadership competencies. This lively and informative session will explore some of the top leadership skills identified by Lombardo and Eichinger including judgment, passion, integrity and accountability.
Presenter Audrey Kintzi has been working in the development field for more than 25 years. Ms. Kintzi is a member of the faculty for the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business and the Masters in Philanthropy and Development program at St. Mary’s University. Mst recently Kintzi was the VP and Chief Development Officer for Courage Center. Prior to her work at Courage Center she was the Chief Advancement Officer for the Girl Scout Council of St. Croix Valley. Prior to the Girl Scouts she was the Chief Development Officer for the American Red Cross of the St. Paul Area. Earlier in her career, Ms. Kintzi served as the Director of Development and Public Awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association - Minnesota Lakes Chapter and the Director of Donor Development for the American Cancer Society - Minnesota Division. She has also served on the development staff at Sight & Hearing Association, Simpson College and Mankato State University.
A 1983 graduate of Mankato State University, Ms. Kintzi holds a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications - Public Relations and Theatre - Directing/Acting. In 1994 Ms. Kintzi obtained her Masters degree in Continuing Studies - Business and Speech Communications also from Mankato State University. In 1991 she obtained the designation of CFRE - Certified Fundraising Executive. In October of 2004 she obtained her ACFRE – Advanced Certified Fundraising Executive. In February of 2001, Ms. Kintzi was awarded the Paid-Staff Excellence Award for Disaster Fundraising by the American National Red Cross. In November, 2004 Ms. Kintzi received the Outstanding Fundraising Professional from the Association of Fundraising Professionals Minnesota Chapter.
