AFP Minnesota presents:

Planned Giving: The Bare Essentials

Educational Seminar

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Speaker: Craig Wruck, Vice President for University Advancement, St. Cloud State University

This fast-paced session will prepare you to engage your donors in a conversation about the basics of planned giving. We’ll review the essential planned giving vehicles and the current tax incentives for charitable giving: charitable bequests, gift annuities, and IRA contributions as well as contributions of appreciated property. An extensive handout will provide more details you can refer to later on.

Planned giving is all about alternatives. You’ll leave this session confident that you can reply when a donor says, “I’d really like to make a gift, but…”

Craig WruckCraig Wruck has 33 years of experience in fundraising and engaging alumni in service, friendship and giving. Craig has a national reputation in the planned giving area having served as president of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning (formerly the National Committee on Planned Giving) in 1997, and, since 1998 chair of government relations and registered lobbyist for that organization.
