Summer Education Session at Summit Brewery — Millennials and Management Panel Discussion

Please join us at Summit Brewery for a beverage and panel discussion on Millennials and Management. 

Panelists will include:

Carley Stuber | Minnesota Opera

Panelists will share their respective backgrounds and explore the benefits and challenges of managing a Millennial workforce.  How have they crafted business models that attract and keep Millennial staff members?  On the flip side, panelists from the Millennial generation will share their perspectives on work/life balance and what they seek when changing jobs.

Meet the Panelists

Keely Couillard, Corporate Relations, American Cancer Society, has spent the past three years leading the pursuit of new opportunities, managing and cultivating relationships, and driving involvement of partners to achieve the ACS mission and income efforts. She works to further the strategic implementation of local, nationwide, and global initiatives across corporate, social, and public sectors. Before coming to the American Cancer Society, she served as the Director of Events for the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, where she educated, informed, and opened doors for business professionals to do business with one another.

John Guenveur is the co-Founder of Woodchuck USA, a company that designs and manufactures custom wood products in Minneapolis.  Woodchuck’s vision to create “a World More Connected to Nature” sparked the creation of its “Buy One. Plant One.” program.  Woodchuck has now planted over 1.3 million trees on 6 different continents.  John is a jack-of-all-trades 28-year-old who has lead every function of the business along the way to grow Woodchuck from zero to more than 40 employees. John was named as one of Minnesota Business magazine’s “35 & Under” elite entrepreneurs in 2017, and was honored as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist in 2018.

Shawn Keenan, Development Officer for the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota, works extensively to serve the mission of MCC through developing meaningful relationships with the cancer center’s generous philanthropic supporters. His focus is raising money toward research and clinical care. Prior to joining the cancer development team, Shawn raised money for the entire University of Minnesota system while serving on the Leadership Annual Giving team where he worked after fundraising for Viterbo University.

Carley M. Stuber, MA, CFRE, is currently Chief Development Director at Minnesota Opera. Her experience in fundraising and leadership experience ranges from capital and program campaigns, to board and committee leadership, events, to annual giving and major and planned giving. Most recently, Carley served as VP-Philanthropy at the Minnesota Children’s Museum, leading a $28 million capital campaign while developing a major and planned giving program. Carley spent eight years in healthcare overseeing a $3 million expansion campaign at St. Francis Regional Medical Center and participating in a $150 million comprehensive campaign at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota by leading a $1.3 million initiative for Pain and Palliative Care. She is currently the Immediate Past President of AFP-MN. Carley earned her MA in Arts Administration at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and her BA at Augsburg College in Minneapolis.
