The AAA Way to Increased Board Engagement

Featured speaker: Kay Sprinkel Grace

10:00am-11:00am

Whether you are a development officer or a board leader, you’ve probably dreamed of having a board that is engaged and even enthused about donor and fund development. This session is designed to make that dream come true!

Kay Sprinkel Grace has developed, implemented and written about her practical program for getting board members involved and confident about the array of roles each can play to strengthen organizations while enhancing their own board experience. AAA (Ambassador, Advocate, Asker) is a proven program, in use in hundreds of organizations, that taps into board member confidence and motivation, providing board members with opportunities and training to be Ambassadors and some to be Advocates and/or Askers as well. Based on the idea that confidence is the factor that stimulates board participation, a copyrighted survey (which may be adapted for specific use by an organization) is given to board members who then choose the tasks they will provide to the organization as Ambassadors and as Advocates and/or Askers.  Those who use this management tool report that fulfillment of chosen tasks is high, and there are new levels of board satisfaction and engagement.
