Giving USA 2018

Giving USA is a critical resource in tracking trends in the sector because of the long-term view it provides of fluctuations in giving sources and distribution patterns. Campbell & Company, in conjunction with AFP Minnesota, will present Giving USA 2018 in Eagan, Minnesota. Giving data and trends will be presented by Adam Wilhelm, Vice President of Campbell & Co.

This year’s Giving USA session, now free for AFP Minnesota members, will follow our popular roundtable networking format. Attendees will be able to choose a table of fellow practitioners in certain aspects of fundraising (for instance, annual fund fundraising; major giving; small organization fundraising) to network and share feedback on the presentation. The session will conclude with an overview of the attendees’ top takeaways from the 2018 survey.

In addition to leading fundraising assessments and campaign studies and providing strategic Fundraising counsel, Adam has held a number of interim leadership roles, including chief development officer, vice president, and campaign director, in advancement departments at hospitals, colleges, associations and independent schools. Adam joined Campbell & Company from the Lutheran School of Theology (Chicago) where he served as a major gift officer during the seminary’s $56 million comprehensive campaign that exceeded its goal.

Adam holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College with a double major in English and American Racial and Multi-Cultural Studies. He serves as the Chair of the St. Olaf Fund Board and is an active member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), the Association for Lutheran Development Executives (ALDE) and serves as a mentor for the Chicago chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
