AFP MN Annual Meeting & Education Event: “Tax Reform is Now Law — What Happens Now?”

October 16, 2018 | 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

The comprehensive tax reform bill was enacted at the end of last year and is predicted to have a sizable impact on the nonprofit sector, including the potential for significant losses in charitable giving in the billions of dollars.

What will be the actual impact, and what will be the bottom line for fundraising and charities in 2018 and beyond? Could we possibly increase giving by unlocking new approaches? And how can YOU help enact public policy to increase charitable giving?

Jason Lee, Chief Advocacy & Strategy Officer, AFP, and Jeremy Wells, Vice President of Philanthropic Services, Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundations, and Chair of the AFP PAC Board, will discuss the current public policy landscape, the impact on YOUR fundraising, what charities can look forward to in 2018 and beyond, and how the sector can respond.

He also chairs the Charitable Giving Coalition, a Washington, DC-based consortium of nonprofit leaders dedicated to raising awareness about the value of the charitable deduction and its impact in supporting essential community services.
