Director of the Dunwoody Fund

Dunwoody College of Technology is currently searching for a Director of the Dunwoody Fund. The Dunwoody Fund represents the Annual Campaign, which provides support for scholarships, annual operations, and special projects. The Director will prepare an annual plan for the Fund in collaboration with the Institutional Advancement Team. The Director is a senior fundraiser and is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of leadership annual and major gift donors including foundations and associations. The College is currently in the quiet phase of a $50 million campaign which incorporates the Dunwoody Fund and long-term scholarship funding. This position will report to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement.

Primary Duties:

In collaboration with the IA Team, annually prepares a tactical plan for achieving the budgeted revenue goals assigned to Institutional Advancement, including annual unrestricted, annual scholarships, and special projects
Monitors progress toward goals and prepares an annual assessment of annual giving
Manages a portfolio of individual prospects to identify, cultivate, and solicit gifts of $25,000 and more to fulfill Campaign objectives, including annual and long-term scholarship funding
Works closely with the directors of the Youth Career Awareness Program (YCAP) and the Women in Technical Careers Initiatives to raise targeted scholarships included in the annual goal
Plans and implements timely submission of grant requests and reports to continue and expand funding from foundations, corporations, and associations that traditionally support annual operations and scholarships including YCAP and WITC
Liaison with the Controller and Director of Financial Aid to monitor status of scholarship funding
Ensures appropriate gift acknowledgement, stewardship, and donor recognition
Participates in IA team and strategy meetings and maintain an on-going professional development
Supports the Mission and Vision of Dunwoody College of Technology

Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred)
Demonstrated success in soliciting major gifts from individuals and organizations
Leadership ability and experience, especially the ability to plan, coordinate, and evaluate activities required to achieve the Dunwoody Fund goals
Knowledge of STEM education and appreciation of the culture of technical higher education preferred
Able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines in a changing environment
Excellent demonstrated written and oral communication skills (writing samples required)
