Your gift of facilitating donor relations, managing our data systems, and serving as an advocate of our organization will provide purpose and fulfillment as the Development Services Manager with Scholarship America. By cultivating detailed knowledge of Scholarship America’s donors and donor management systems, this position will inform fundraising and donor engagement strategies and tactics that produce successful results.

Essential Job Functions:
• Oversees processing of all donor contributions and ensures high quality processes aligned with best practices; ensure a high level of service for all donors, including timely and accurate gift acknowledgment.
• Partners with other team members to provide research and background on current and prospective donors and partners to help advance relationships and opportunities.
• Partners with Finance to provide regular communications and ensure smooth processing of related financial operations and reporting questions and processes, with insight into relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Suggests changes and process improvements as needed to improve efficiency and effectiveness of donor related communications, services and engagement plans.
• Creates standard and customized reports to inform fundraising performance; provides data and analytical reports to the team and others across the organization.
• Handles special requests to address donor needs, implements processes and systems, mitigates risk and supports donor relations and recognition programs; handles data management, including monitoring and maintaining data integrity, updating donor records and producing lists for solicitations and other donor communications.

Accountabilities & Performance Measures
• Meet or exceed key metrics including donor retention, timely gift processing and efficiency measures.
• Responsible for the efficient and thorough use of technology, technology-driven processes/reporting (CRM), and training resources impacting Development activities.
• Accountable for accurate and on-time reporting required for leadership (e.g. Board meetings)
• As part of a high-performance fundraising team, there will be donor-centered metrics for this position and shared responsibility for meeting overall revenue goals.

Minimum Requirements:
• Ability to communicate, listen to and understand information and ideas presented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work collaboratively and provide a high level of service for donors and colleagues; ability to train, supervise and motivate others in a positive and supportive way.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising software.
• Strong attention to detail. Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritize appropriately, and to assess and match work process needs and solutions.
• General financial budget or accounting skills; ability to identify and communicate trends and analyze and highlight the most relevant and helpful information.
• Strong analytical skills: able to interpret and compare data to form meaningful insights which is shared with others to continually improve processes and activities in line with our mission and vision.
• Results-oriented, motivated to meet or exceed individual and shared goals and support others in doing the same.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; demonstrated commitment to continued personal and professional development.
• 3-5 years successful experience in philanthropic services or development operations.

Preferred Requirements:
• Prior experience with Microsoft CRM database.
