Position Summary:

The Development Coordinator will support two primary teams within MPR. This role supports and develops the mid-level donor program (defined as individual donors giving $600-$10,000 annually) through events, stewardship opportunities, and fundraising execution. It also assists in the administration of Planned Giving and stewardship of Legacy Society donors. This position will split time evenly supporting Mid-Level and Planned Giving teams, will report to the Membership & Donor Development Manager, and work with dotted line supervision from the Planned Giving Director.


Position Responsibilities:

Membership Development Support (45%)
Provide excellent service and support to MPR donors giving $600-$2,499 annually
Conduct new and upgrading Member thank-you calls and write thank-you notes
Outreach to mid-level members to maintain member benefits such as claiming their annual thank-you gift, scheduling tours and more
Project coordination of fundraising campaigns, stewardship, and new initiatives with vendors and internal constituents
Develop direct mail and digital fundraising calendars
Point of contact for internal MPR|APM constituents related to mid-level giving work
Planned Giving support (50%)
Organize and maintain planned giving and estate administration files
Digitize files and upload to CRM
Scan hard files and upload/attach documents and paper records to donor profiles
Update Planned Giving opportunities in Salesforce for Legacy Society members
Prepare and send Planned Giving information requests, mailings, welcome and thank-you letters
Assist Planned Giving Director as needed on follow-up for responses to planned giving surveys and other marketing for planned giving initiatives and projects
Work with other Major and Planned Giving staff on various tasks, projects, and events
Other duties as assigned (5%)

Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 2 years administrative or project management experience or equivalent
Fluency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook

Organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work under pressure
Ability to learn software applications when needed

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Previous experience with nonprofit fundraising strongly preferred
