Job Description:  Community Fundraising Manager
Reports to:  Vice President, Events and Partnerships

Children’s Cancer Research Fund supports the brightest scientists whose ideas will make the greatest impact for children with cancer. We work closely with researchers to fund innovative new projects quickly and ensure that their promising discoveries continue uninterrupted. We also fund quality of life services that enhance healing and care for children and their families and raise awareness for the need for research.

This year, CCRF is launching a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) fundraising program. We are seeking a Community Fundraising Manager to be the point person for this new program. The Manager will be an integral part of the project launch, from platform launch through implementation. The Community Fundraising Manager is a full-time, exempt position. This position is based in Minneapolis, MN, but we will consider remote and/or flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.

Essential functions:
•    Manage the launch of the CCRF DIY fundraising platform.
•    Manage all DIY fundraising initiatives of the national organization.
•    Consult on the execution of digital campaigns using email and social channels to promote participation, highlight volunteer fundraisers, and cultivate a base of DIY supporters.
•    Optimize DIY platform and emails through testing. Troubleshoot issues.
•    Analyze and report on DIY program results. Update and evolve strategy based on results.
•    Develop all cultivation pathways and how-to guides to automate coaching of volunteer fundraisers via email.
•    Motivate and provide direct support for participant fundraisers as needed to ensure they’re reaching their potential.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Competency:
•    Ability to come up with compelling campaign concepts and write copy that drives conversions
•    Ability to manage cross-functional projects, working with members of Events, Marketing and Donor Services Teams
•    Proficient in email, constituent relationship management or other related data systems, social networking systems, Excel and PowerPoint
•    P2P or DIY program launch experience
•    Luminate, TeamRaiser and Raisers Edge experience desired
•    Superior listening skills
•    Excellent organizational, research, and project management skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Demonstrated resourcefulness and independence; also comfortable working within an integrated development program and team-oriented environment

•    A strong work ethic coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills
•    Experience leading a team

Required education and experience:
•    Must have 3-5 years’ experience in P2P or DIY fundraising activities
•    Bachelor’s Degree in related field
