“We are so very fortunate to live in a state that is known for its spirit of generosity,” says AFP Minnesota President Jeremy R. Wells. “National Philanthropy Day is the day we celebrate philanthropy: giving, volunteering, and everything Minnesotan’s do to help make this place strong. It is an opportunity for us to come together to recognize and give thanks…to inspire and to be inspired.”
NPD was created by the national Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) as a special day to recognize and pay tribute to the contributions that philanthropy – and those people active in the philanthropic community – have made to our lives, our communities and our world. AFPMN is in its 32nd year of NPD celebrations.
Join us for a dynamic NPD pre-luncheon educational program presented by international fundraising expert Penelope Burk. In her presentation, Penelope Burk will discuss the results of her research on successful fundraising programs. Surveying hundreds of leadership volunteers, CEOs, and development chiefs about how they define their own ‐‐ and each other’s ‐‐ responsibilities in fundraising she has defined the “dance” that is necessary to maximize results.
AFPMN thanks the sponsors who make the 2014 NPD Luncheon only happen. This year’s sponsors include:
