Job Summary
The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for the solicitation efforts of the annual fund campaign. This position requires a revenue-focused, donor-centric experienced fundraiser who has a track record of identifying opportunities for increased support and driving them to fruition. This individual will have the primary responsibility for helping execute successful strategies that grow overall donors, average gift size, and giving frequency. This position requires someone with strong project management skills, comfortable with pulling reports from Raiser’s Edge, and to recognize trends and donor segments of greatest potential.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
•    Develop and execute annual fund development plan and timeline.
•    Discover, cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of individual donors ($1-$999) for annual fund; engaging the fundraising team and volunteers to enhance and grow the donor base, including donor retention and acquisition efforts.
•    Facilitate multiple individual giving appeals throughout the year. Create campaign themes, coordinate mailings, track internal deadlines, and connect with volunteers for a successful campaign completion.
•    Plan and coordinate two annual fundraising events:
o    The Annual Breakfast
–    Recruitment of table hosts, solicitation of sponsorship, management of vendors and the ability to handle the logistics of a large event
o    PPL Golf Classic
–    Solicitation of sponsorships, recruitment of teams of four individuals, management of the silent action volunteer committee and ability to handle the logistics related to a golf event
•    Design and implement a donor recognition program.
•    Help launch web-based fundraising efforts that enhance donor and prospect connectivity to, knowledge of and involvement in PPL activities and programs.
•    Attend community events and respond to requests for presentations to build awareness about PPL’s work to cultivate and strengthen relationships with potential donors.

Minimum Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree preferred, but experience in fundraising, special event planning, communications, or a related field, or equivalent is valued.
•    2-3 years experience in nonprofit fundraising and special events or related activities.
•    Excellent organizational skills to develop planning processes and accountabilities.
•    Ability to orchestrate events, working with vendors, volunteers, committees, and staff.
•    Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced fundraising department.
•    Ability to work as a team member as well as independent, self-motivated staff member.
•    Excellent communication and presentations skills, both written and oral.
•    Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
•    Commitment to and aptitude towards data management is necessary; this position works closely with the database administrator, using Raiser’s Edge for donor tracking and relationship management. Awareness of and interest in online fundraising and web-based relationship/community building.
•    A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record as determined by our insurance carrier.
