Job Summary

The Annual Giving Coordinator is responsible for the solicitation efforts of the annual fund campaign. This includes creation and execution of strategies for engaging and cultivating donors through print and electronic appeals to individuals giving less than $1,000, in-person solicitations, corporate sponsorships, and special events. Areas of coordination include: annual individual giving campaign strategy and implementation, solicitation of corporate sponsorships, and special event management.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
•    Develop and execute annual fund development plan and timeline.
•    Cultivate and solicit individual donors for annual fund, engaging the fundraising team and volunteers to enhance and grow the donor base, including donor retention and acquisition efforts.
•    Organize and facilitate two individual giving appeals annually. Create campaign theme, coordinate mailings, track internal deadlines, and connect with volunteers for successful campaign completion.
•    Plan and coordinate special events, including an annual fundraising breakfast, golf tournament, and occasional smaller donor recognition events.
•    Design and implement a donor recognition program.
•    Help launch web-based fundraising efforts that enhance donor and prospect connectivity to, knowledge of and involvement in PPL activities and programs.
•    Attend community events and respond to requests for presentations to build awareness about PPL’s work to cultivate and strengthen relationships with potential donors.

Minimum Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree preferred, but experience in fundraising, special event planning, communications, or a related field, or equivalent is valued.
•    2-3 years experience in nonprofit fundraising and special events or related activities.
•    Excellent organizational skills to develop planning processes and accountabilities.
•    Ability to orchestrate events, working with vendors, volunteers, committees, and staff.
•    Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced fundraising department.
•    Ability to work as a team member as well as independent, self-motivated staff member.
•    Excellent communication and presentations skills, both written and oral.
•    Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
•    Commitment to and aptitude towards data management is necessary; this position works closely with the database administrator, using Raiser’s Edge for donor tracking and relationship management. Awareness of and interest in online fundraising and web-based relationship/community building.
